Perfect for your active lifestyle, this Casio G-Shock men's digital sport watch (model GW002KA-3V) is solar-powered and wirelessly receives atomic time updates. This powerfully styled watch features a durable dark gray resin case and polyurethane strap. It offers a 1/100-second stopwatch with a 60-minute measuring capacity as well as four independent daily alarms (with one snooze alarm), world time from 30 cities, and an autocalendar (to the year 2039). And because it's solar-powered--charging in either sunlight or indoor light--you'll never have to deal with changing the battery. Other features include a scratch-resistant mineral crystal, AfterGlow LED electro-luminescent backlight, and water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet)--suitable for recreational scuba diving. This radio-controlled watch receives a time calibration signal transmitted from Fort Collins, Colorado, and signal reception is possible within a radius of about 2,000 miles from the Fort Collins transmitter. You can choose to automatically receive this signal four times a day, or manually update the watch to the atomic clock.

Customer Rating: Summary: Solid and capable watch Comment: This watch solves several problems:
1. No need for battery replacement, so no cost for batteries and no disposal. This also means that the water resistance is preserved, since many battery replacement places don't guarantee the factory seal.
2. More durable band? This will take several years to figure out, but as others have mentioned, it looks and feels more sturdy than other rubber-based bands. I've lost more watches due to band breakage than anything else.
3. Time is automatically set -- this is a convenient feature, plus it is easy to change time zones or maintain dual zones when traveling. However, it only tunes into Ft. Collins, so it won't find a signal overseas, as newer (and more expensive) atomic watches may. Not a big deal for traveling, though.
Customer Rating: Summary: Casio G-Shock Comment: I searched the Casio web site, until I found the watch I wanted. This watch was priced at $130.00. I found it on Amazon for $70.00. I very happy with the product and the shipment from Amazon. I'm in Afghanistan and it is working perfectly so far.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent Casio Product Comment: It will not receive the NIST transmission if I leave it in the car in the garage overnight, but I would not expect the weak Colorado signal to pass through so many levels of bunker. Inside the house, here in North Atlanta, it picks up the signal just fine.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great looking watch. Comment: I got this watch through Amazon, free shipping.
It took over a week to process and only a day for delivery.
Item shipped out of NJ.
Other than taking 9 days to get it, I love the watch. I have a small wrist and this G-Shock watch doesn't look too big on me. I also like the band. It's not made of rubber. It's something like green nylon but stronger.
It has all the features I need, sw, countdown, alarms and it's easy to learn.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Features, Poor Lifespan Comment: I bought this watch 2 years ago. I really like the features and the band which does not break. I have about 4 other Casio watch's, w/o the band that are still working. This watch has a band that will flex but not break.
The downside to this watch is that after 2 years the back light has stopped working and the alarms do not sound. The battery is fine. A quick check of my options shows that repairing the solar style watches cost almost as much as a new watch. My advice is find a Casio model you like that doesn't have the solar battery charge feature, stick with a standard battery. The solar is a gimmick in my opinion.
