Summary: Great, but cheaper generics available
Comment: These are wonderful. They work wonders! They are also frighteningly expensive.

They can get uncomfortably hot at times, however... the worst in the summer on a hot day.

You can get similar products for cheaper that do the same thing. Also, if you run out and have to buy these in a store, they might be hard to find. I've used these thermacare products for other parts of the body (neck, back, arms) and they work the same, even if they're a little more akward.

Summary: Relief for IC !
Comment: I don't actually use these for menstrual cramps. Heat helps alleviate the pain of my interstitial cystitis, a painful bladder disorder which has no known cause or cure. I love these because they can go anywhere with you (unlike a heating pad) and fit easily in my purse. All of my patches have lasted ten to twelve hours! They are thin and stay put the entire time. During a painful IC flare I use prescription lidocaine patches (which are worn 12 hours on & 12 hours off). So while the lidocaine is off, the ThermaCare is ON! My only complaint is that I didn't discover these sooner. :)

Summary: Finally some relief.
Comment: If you women are like me and get very bad cramps or cramps at all, this is a miracle item because you can wear it anywhere; which means also at work. It's not fair for us to have to stay home from work because of this problem. So I keep it on while at work and it definently helps calm the cramps. Licensed accupuncturists and massage therapists say heat is the only thing they use - never treat with cold. Great item and it's cheaper to buy it here then in the stores, I bought about 4 boxes.

Summary: Indespensible
Comment: These things are wonderful. I have found that if I use one at the first sign of pain I can quite often get away without using pain medications of any kind. They are particularly wonderful if you have to be away from home, especially at work. These thermaCare are supposed to last eight hours but I have had some last up to 12.

My only complaint is that occassionally I will get one that works too well and gets too hot.

Still, I wouldn't be without my thermaCare.
