White peppercorns begin their life in the same manner as black ones, but the similarity stops there. White ones remain longer on the vine. After maturation the black outer shell is removed by soaking in water until the shell loosens and falls off. They are then dried and are ready for use. The white peppercorn flavor profile differs from black in that it possesses a rich, wine-like flavor. They are somewhat hot and are a nice addition to soup, on grilled meats and poultry or even mixed with black peppercorns. White peppercorns are preferred for Asian as well as Southern and Eastern European recipes.

Comment: i have no idea if this product is good or not as the shipping cost is as much as the product,im not paying 16$ a pound for peppercorns,when i can buy lobster for the same price!!!!!!!

Comment: These peppercorns were visibly of much better quality than we'd gotten other places before, and the aroma was tantalizing before we even opened the package! They arrived fresher than I've ever tasted peppercorns in my life, and the seller is very professional and quick with shipment. Highly recommended!
