Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: You must restart the phone after installing!! Comment: After connecting the phone and installing the drivers, you have to power off and power on the phone for the connection to really work - at least if using BitPim. Other than that - cable fits poorly on a VX6100, but it does work. And I need to use it exactly once, so no biggie. Don't think the charging works on the VX6100 either - the VX6100, vx8000 and vx9800 use sightly different pinouts for power than the older models. Enclosed CD doesn't include a VX6100 driver, but the VX6000 works too. Or you can find one on the web. Not crazy about the cable and CD and all, but - it got the job done! Customer Rating: Summary: Does what it's supposed to do Comment: I lost the data cable that came with my Fusic and had ended up buying a Mobile Action package from RadioShack.. Bad mistake.. Their cable limited what you could do through the USB port and had bad drivers. I found this cable on Amazon. Lo and behold it functions exactly the same way the original cable I had lost does. I should have just bought this one from the get go. Cable and drivers load without problem. However I thought that a data backup program was included. To get that functunality you have to purchase another software program or suite to transfer data from phone-to-phone or backup contacts. It came with a CD that supposedly took you to a website to download the software but it only takes you to a website that sells cell phones. I looked everywhere on the website for a link or something that said you could download any kind of software but there was nothing.
