Editorial Reviews:

Viggo Mortensen stars as Jimmy Kowalski, a Desert Storm veteran with racing in his blood, dark secrets in his past, a pregnant wife at home, and a vintage 1970 Dodge Hemi Challenger to deliver. But when his wife is suddenly hospitalized, a desperate Kowalski speeds cross-country with police from four states, a vengeful trooper [Steve Railsback of HELTER SKELTER and ED GEIN], and the FBI in hot pursuit. Now with the help of an outspoken radio DJ [Jason Priestley], the man a nation hails as ‘the last American hero’ and the Feds label a ‘possible terrorist’ rockets toward a final roadblock where the speed limit is the floorboard, and life, death and freedom all come together at the VANISHING POINT. Christine Elise [ER], Keith David [ARMAGEDDON] and Peta Wilson [LA FEMME NIKITA] co-star in this explosive Fox-TV remake of the legendary cult classic that fans call ‘the ultimate car chase movie’!

Summary: one star is still over rated
Comment: Watch a Disney movie instead, you will more than likely find that more sensible and exciting than this waste of film.

Summary: Good remake of a classic
Comment: Good remake of classic car flick probably more a little more viewable to a larger general audience than the original but that doesn't mean its a better movie.

Film sticks to the basic original storyline but throws a few other elements into the flick eg. sick pregnant wife and FBI in the chase as well to add a little extra to the movie.

The car is awesome gotta love the 70 R/T Challenger with a 426ci Hemi

Summary: Drive Past It
Comment: Not a very well done film. It might be worth a rental but please check out the original version of Vanishing Point. It blows the doors off this one.

Summary: Vanishing Point
Comment: Awesome movie. A must see. Usually the remake sucks compared to the orginal. This time just the opposite. I loved the original, but the story was just a little better in the remake.

Customer Rating: Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5
Summary: Please Don't Waste Your Time With This Version
Comment: Words cannot describe how badly this version stinks. There is virtually no connection to the original masterpiece. Negative Stars!!!!!! They should be ashamed of themselves for putting the title "Vanishing Point" on this utter piece of garbage.
