Summary: TERRIFIC VALUE AND WONDERFUL UNIT
Comment: I got my unit through amazon.com several years ago...picked the green and it was delivered to my door for a hundred dollars under what it was available for locally here in NW Montana. It has been a superb unit. Only problem I ever encountered was trying to run it near lake with high sustained winds....kept blowing out. Don't try to lift charcoal stowage end when filled with charcoal...I managed to get a small but fixable crack immediately into the nice plastic work surface/surround. This must be my 8th BBQ and the best yet! Previous one cost 3 or 4x more and was a stainless gas only. Good Luck

Summary: It was hard to get
Comment: I want to Home Depot Expo they had a performer on display I had been looking to buy one for a while. I was willing to pay full price. The one he had on display was broken. The salesman went to the back. When he came back he said he had three total they were all damage, The plastic tops were broken. He could make one good one from the parts from all three but it would still have a broken plastic top. I said make me a deal and I will buy the broken one. He came back from the managers office and said the best he could do was 20% off. He said he could special order one. I thought about it and said no. I was sure it would be broken also. I went to Barbeques Galore they were closing a store that had one on display so I bought at 50.00 off regular price the plastic was damaged but still in one piece. I think you if you are looking to buy one make sure they have one in stock.
Okay, the barbeque works great I like not having to get my chimney going all the time. The way the lid sits against the side is nice also. I also like the charcoal holder. I am planing to cook turkeys and such its nice not having to open the stainless steel lid to get to the charcoal. I am looking for another one on craigslist for my mother in laws house also.

Summary: An outdoor kitchen at a reasonable price
Comment: Like many reviewers, I've looked at gas grills and been turned off by the flavor and their higher prices. Still, the concept of an outdoor kitchen for preparing, grilling and assembling meals was an appealing one. When I came upon this grill, it seemed like the perfect blend of convenience and performance. The grill surface itself is a lot bigger than my old 18 1/2" Weber, the work surface is extensive, and the gas ignition promised to simplify the most time-consuming and nerve-wracking part of the whole process.
My wife and I bought one from Crate and Barrel this weekend and tried it out, and it worked like a charm. I made a pork tenderloin from a Bobby Flay recipe that used both a glaze and a mojo. After heating the mojo on the stovetop, I brought the saucepan outside and set it right on the Thermoset work surface. My wife was worried that I'd just ruined our brand new grill, but I picked up the saucepan and you couldn't even tell it had been there. Awesome! Even with two bowls on the tabletop, there was still plenty of room for a big cutting board and a plate, so I was able to slice the tenderloin, transfer it to the plate, and bring it to the table ready to eat.
The best thing about this grill is that, because it's so easy to start and there's so much space, it makes you want to grill more and try new recipes. Kudos to Weber for a five-star, American-made product!

Comment: It's awesome, just buy it. I actually got mine from Crate and Barrels. Same price and it came in a funky green color my wife liked.

Comment: I've used the grill three times and been pretty happy with it. I've been using natural charcoal, and I'm still learning how to control the heat. It gets real hot at first and then cools down quickly. But this grill makes it possible to add more charcoal.
Assembly was fairly simmple. It took me about an hour. But some words on the instruction sheets would have been helpful. I made a few mistakes and had to take things apart and redo them.
Starting up the grill couldn't be simpler. Just dump in the charcoal and press the igniter button. It will be ready for grilling quickly - not quite as fast as a gas grill, but quickly enough. And the smokey flavor makes it well worth the extra few minutes.
